Hi, I’m Sandra!

As a child, I often sat in the doctor’s office translating for my immigrant parents, watching as no one addressed the stress and challenges driving their health issues. It's what shaped my passion to become a physician who truly listens and sees the whole person.

But after over a decade in primary care, I learned that managing stress and overwhelm in a 15-minute office visit isn’t enough -- and honestly, I burnt out trying.

Add to the mix, having kids of my own, and all the struggles and challenges in the journey to have them.

I felt overwhelmed with the guilt of not being as present as I wanted for my kids, and disappointed that the mom they saw most often was the stressed out, overwhelmed, burnt out version of me.   

I was frustrated when I realized that if your mental health can’t be categorized as a clinical diagnosis, such as anxiety or depression, then society has conditioned us to think that all that stress is just normal

But the level of overwhelming stress that I experienced and that I see so many women go through, especially working moms with young kids (like myself)... is NOT normal. 

And I don’t believe it’s something women should have to ignore and just deal with, especially when there are effective tools and strategies that can really help!

My mission is to make sure that every WOMAN knows that she does NOT need to live in a constant state of overwhelm and stress.

This doesn’t need to be your new normal and there IS something you can do about it.
